American stand-up comedian, actor, television producer and podcaster, Andrew Schulz, has been making waves in mainstream media. His unique take on comedy – rooted in his upbringing and personal experiences, have made him a hit across various countries and platforms.

Born in New York City to an immigrant Scottish mother and a father of German and Irish descent,  Andrew Schulz had a very distinguishable early life that would shape him into who he is today.

He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

It was during his college years in Santa Barbara when he first began to perform stand-up and pursue his career as a comedian.

He returned to New York to further his entertainment career and became a regular at the Comedy Village.

The father of Andrew Schulz, Larry Schulz, was born to a family from Chicago and worked as a reporter and was a military veteran.

His mother, Sandra Cameron, was a professional ballroom dancer by trade and owned the Sandra Cameron Dance Center in Lower Manhattan for three decades.

Andrew himself was raised in the East Village and was educated at The Lillie Devereaux Blake Primary School and Robert F. Wagner Middle School in the Upper East Side neighborhood, as well as Baruch College Campus High School.

In December 2021, Schulz married Emma Turner in Montecito, California.

Turner is the daughter of Kristin Turner, a West Point Graduate and racetrack driver, and Quentin Turner.

Emma Turner was awarded her MBA from NYU Stern School of Business in 2022,

while also working at Marie Claire, BALENCIAGA, Penguin Random House, Barney’s New York, Re/done, and Apple where she holds the AI and Machine Learning position.

Turner is also the author of a successful food blog called Blistered Peppers, which she launched in September 2021.

Comedic And Acting Projects As Andrew Schulz

In September 2017, Schulz self-released his first comedy special, 4:4:1, on YouTube.

This was followed up with 5:5:1 in June 2018, which reached number one on iTunes’ comedy album charts, Apple Music, Google Play and Billboard comedy album charts.

2021 saw the release of two streaming EPs, Views from the Cis and Brilliant Idiot, both released through 800 Pound Gorilla Records.

As of July 25, 2022, he also released a special titled “Infamous” on his YouTube channel.

Aside from his stand-up career, Schulz is also known for his numerous acting projects.

He has been featured in MTV2 shows such as Jobs That Don’t Suck, Guy Code, Guy Court, Girl Code and The Hook Up.

His other appearances include IFC’s Benders, Amazon’s Sneaky Pete, Hulu’s ‘There’s Johnny!’ and HBO’s Crashing, just to name a few.

He has also been featured in films such as The Female Brain, Write When You Get Work and No Safe Spaces. His also wrote and starred in Rise of the Radio Show and The Apartmentship.

On December 17, 2020, Schulz released his first Netflix special – Schulz Saves America.

It was a four-part special released to highly positive reviews.
