Reed has been averaging 3.4 points per game, with career highs of 6 points happening twice – once at Minnesota (Dec. 8) and against Northwestern (Jan. 15).
Tarris has recorded 3.5 rebounds per game, with a personal best of 8 rebounds coming against Northwestern (Jan. 15).
On the defensive side, Tarris has accumulated 15 blocks so far, with 3 blocks being recorded against North Carolina (Dec. 21) – a career-high.
For his freshman year, he’s been seeing an average of 11.2 minutes on the court, with a personal best of 20 minutes against Iowa (Jan. 12).
Reed: A Look At Prep Career
He was recognized as the 2021 Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) Class 6 Player of the Year, MBCA Class 6 All-State (2021), and MBCA Class 5 All-State (2020).
Additionally, Tarris was the 2021 Metro Catholic Player of the Year, St. Louis Post Dispatch All-Metro Boys Basketball Player of the Year (2021), and a two-time, first-team (2020, ’21).
Furthermore, Tarris was invited to the Jordan Brand Classic in 2022, where he played with Team Flight, tallying 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 steals in 23 minutes off the bench.
When Tarris transferred to Link Year Academy (Branson, Mo.) during his final prep season, he averaged 9.3 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks.
They went on to have a 34-2 record and reached the GEICO Nationals, unfortunately losing the title game to Montverde (7 points, 4 rebounds).
As a junior, he averaged 21.8 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocks and even made it to the Final Four of the MSHSAA Class 6 State Championship.
