In fact, this is not his first injury. During Bufkin’s senior season at Grand Rapids Christian High School, he suffered a hairline fracture to his left wrist, ending his high school career.

That was a significant blowback in his career as it’s hard to make much of an injury, especially when one is 17, but Bufkin did it.

According to his high school coach, he took the injury well. Bufkin turned this unfortunate event into an opportunity to see the game differently.

The young star then started coaching players from the bench. And after recovering from the injury and armed with insights from his time off the court, Bufkin took his skills to the collegiate level, where he has been exceptional.

Even though not much has been said about the bright athlete’s health, we can assume he is healthy following the recent career updates. Kobe seems ready to get back to court.
