In 2002, Michael Gambon left the house he and his ex-wife, Lady Gambon, shared as a married couple. He had an adulterous relationship with Philippa Hart.

When he brought Philippa to the 2001 movie Gosford Park set, Michael introduced her to his co-stars as his girlfriend.

After publicly disclosing his affair with Philippa, Michael decided to leave his married home.

The news reportedly saddened Lady Gambon. Michael has divided his time between the two families for ten years.
