Marty Sheargold Missing From The Triple H’s Radio Show: Explained

Marty Sheargold is a stand-up comedian, radio host and television personality. Marty co-hosted Nova’s National Drive Show with Kate Ritchie and Tim Blackwell.

Marty has been a frequent panelist on Dirty Laundry Live since 2013 and has appeared on other TV shows, including Have You Been Paying Attention? and much more.

In 2019, he returned to stand-up comedy after 20 years away from the stage.

 Due to the success of the shows, he added 27 more shows to the tour in 2020.

Marty Sheargold Missing From The Triple H’s Radio Show

Sheargold was absent from his namesake’s show last week, and anchor Troy Ellis spoke about his absence on Friday.

As there have been many rumors about his missing news, he was seen in a show even though it is said that he has gone missing.

“Marty is taking personal leave to spend more time with his family. He will soon return to broadcasting, the statement said.

Melbourne-based Sheargold loyalist Loren Barry was in Sydney on Saturday night as one of the presenters for the Australian Commercial Radio and Audio. Awards (ACRA).

His first job in radio was with Greg Fleet on Adelaide Morning Radio. Sheargold has appeared in Australian television comedy productions such as The Mick Molloy Show (1999), where he appeared on Bob’s Scrapbook.

He was also seen on Russell Gilbert Live and Russell Gilbert Was Here! and was host, creator and writer for The Comedy Channel’s Hahn Ice Headliners (1997-1998).

 In 2003, Sheargold appeared in; The Forest and Welcher and returned to television in 2009 as Paolo in The Librarians.

From 2003 to 2008, Sheargold co-hosted Triple M’s The Shebang with Fifi Box, originally aired nationally in prime time but moved to Sydney in 2007 for breakfast.  

Where Is Marty Sheargold Now?

Sheargold is still on the show despite rumors of his disappearance. He is still working and will continue to work.

Marty spends time with his family. After the hiatus, he focused on stand-up comedy, so it can be said that when he left for the same reason, he was spending some time with his family.

He also took 2020 off as Marty Sheargold turned his back on his former co-hosts Kate Ritch and Tim Blackwell, saying they were difficult to work with.

The veteran radio presenter left the popular drive show Kate, Tim and Marty in September and signed a deal with Triple M to present the Melbourne morning show from next year.

The comedian told the Herald Sun he had had enough of his co-hosts and compared working with Kate and Tim to a “killing day.”

I lost interest in the show, and as enjoyable an experience as it was, I’m now at the age where if I don’t have a penchant for something, if I don’t have something, I can’t have it.

This is another window to try because I’m not getting any younger. 

Marty Sheargold’s Net Worth Explored

Marty Sheargold has an estimated net worth of $1.9 million. Sheargold’s first job in radio was as Greg Fleet on Adelaide Breakfast Radio.

 He appeared as a guest comedian on RMITV’s Under Melbourne Tonight on November 2, 1995.

In 2019, Sheargold returned to stand-up comedy after 20 years away from the stage. He sold out the first 11 shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

Due to the overwhelming success of the first 11 shows, he added 27 shows to the tour in 2020, returning for new shows in all the major capital cities and Hobart, Canberra and Cairns.

On July 24, 2020, Sheargold announced his departure from Kate, Tim and Marty, with his last appearance on September 11.

On December 12, 2020, after months, it was revealed that the comedian would host The Marty Sheargold Show in 2021. 

 The show replaces Triple M Melbourne’s The Hot Breakfast following the departure of Eddie McGuire.
