Julie Johannessen Suicide Linked To Death Cause
Julie Johannessen, a 21-year-old Norwegian shooting talent, was found dead in her room at the University of Texas in Fort Worth.
The cause of her death is not yet confirmed.
However, reports claim that she shot herself. Julie was an accomplished member of the TCU Rifle Team and had set records at both the program and national levels.
She had recently made her senior debut in the World Cup earlier in April and won EC gold in the junior class at 50 meters in the fall of 2022.

She resided in Moncrief Hall, where she had made many connections and friends on campus.

Outside of her sport, Julie enjoyed being a “Swiftie” and was thrilled to attend Taylor Swift’s concert recently.
The TCU community gathered in a candlelight vigil at Frog Fountain in Julie’s honor, remembering her life and contributions to the university.
