Jarrod Croker is Jason Croker’s distant cousin.
In an interview with the NRL, upon asking Is Jarrod Croker Related To Jason Croker? Jason replied laughingly, “Nah! I think we’re distantly related, like as second or third cousins, but I’ve never met him.
My dad knows him, but I don’t. I get it all the time, though. It’s not a bad surname to have in Canberra”.
Just like Jarrod, Jason is a Canberra native professional rugby player. However, Jason has now already hung up his boots.
Jason was a key player in the Raider’s third Grand Final win in 1994 scoring a try in the 36-12 demolition of the Bulldogs.
At the time of retirement, he had held the club record for most tries (120). His record has been recently surpassed by his distant relative, Jarrod Croker (134 currently).
However, Jason is the only player to play 300 games for the club which is not a challenging record to beat for Jarrod who has already played 292 games.

Jarrod was born in a well-settled family in Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia. He was born to Greg Croker and Mrs. Croker as the youngest child.
He spent his childhood with his elder sisters, Natalie and Naomie, who provided the best preparation for his leadership on the pitch and kept him calm since the early days.
The rugby and Croker have a special bond. Two of Jason Croker’s nephews, Lachlan Croker and Morgan Boyle, will line up in Canberra’s under-18s SG Ball team next season.
