Florida Evelyn Greer Missing Found Dead: Family Shocked By The Loss

A four-year-old child who went missing from a holiday home in Port Charlotte early on Friday has been discovered dead.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Evelyn Geer’s body was found beside the water in a canal behind the VRBO house where her family was staying.

The CCSO used a bloodhound and an aviation unit to look for the kid after she was reported missing early on Friday morning.

Around 7:30 in the morning, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission discovered her body. The CCSO requests that everyone keep her family in their prayers and thoughts.

According to several reports, authorities reportedly raised the alarm on June 2 at around 6 am, shortly after Geer’s parents reported her missing.

Authorities requested people to phone them with any information about the young girl’s location because they said she had been missing for several hours before she was reported missing.

After midnight on June 2, Evelyn Geer is said to have wandered off in her diapers from her family’s VRBO rental home in Port Charlotte, Florida.

WINK News has learned that her parents were residing at a Port Charlotte VRBO rental along Barksdale Street after being uprooted by Hurricane Ian in September.

However, authorities reported that Friday remains of a missing 4-year-old girl were discovered behind her family’s Florida rental house.

According to a statement from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, her bones were discovered close to a canal’s edge behind her family’s house.

Family Mourns Death Of Evelyn Greer

The body of missing 4-year-old Evelyn Geer was discovered on a boat, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, June 2, nearly two hours after the initial report of her disappearance.

“After an hour of boat searching, (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) found her. As the family navigates this trying period, kindly keep them in your prayers.

The missing child’s family lived close by and was residing in the rental home after being evicted, according to a public relations officer at the Port Charlotte Sheriff’s Office cited by Today.com.

Several others sent their sympathies to the family for the loss of their kid not long after the police posted the terrible news on social media.

A user of social media said: “Such tragic news. Our deepest sympathies to her family. Authorities have not yet revealed Evelyn Geer’s death’s cause or manner.

According to the sheriff’s office, search efforts for the 4-year-old girl in the community roughly 30 miles north of Fort Myers included using aviation units and a bloodhound. When an autopsy is conducted is unknown, said Smith.
