Before his coaching career, he played professional tennis as he was the Top 10 player in two ATP Tour Finals in London. He was the head coach of the Taiwan Olympic men’s tennis team (Athens 2004) and in Doha, he coached the Taiwan Asian Games men´s tennis team.
The most notable work during his coaching career was with Rainer Schuettler, who won an Olympic silver medal in doubles at the 2004 Athens Olympics. From 2004 to 2010 he worked with the Taiwanese Davis Cup Team.
