Derek Hough tested positive for the coronavirus before the Dancing With the Stars season 30 finale. Hough claimed he is “taking medical professionals’ advice to recover as quickly as possible.”
Since season 29 in 2020, Hough has presided as a judge on the ABC dancing competition. He is also presently under quarantine to prevent the virus from spreading.

The couple virtually performed their jazz piece with a Britney Spears theme from their homes during the October 4 performance.

Fans of Derek Hough recently received a health update on social media, and many are concerned for the dancer. Despite having had all of his vaccinations, Hough disclosed in the video that he has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Hough said-
“I feel okay, I feel strong. I’m taking advice from medical professionals, doing everything I can to improve as fast as possible.”
On social media, Derek Hough shared terrible news about his health with his followers, saying he had been diagnosed with COVID.
As Derek’s co-star on Dancing with the Stars, Carrie Ann Inaba wrote: “Sending love and healing thoughts… feel better soon D!” Derek’s friends and supporters instantly rushed to him to express their love and support.
In a previous season episode, Derek was compelled to leave his chair and remain in isolation after possibly being exposed to COVID.
Nevertheless, he survived the incident unharmed and in good health, and the next week, he returned to continue his judging duties.
Is Derek Hough Sick Now?
Derek Hough is a brave guy who was immediately back on his feet following an overnight health crisis.
The Dancing with the Stars judge had a harrowing incident in November 2019 when he awoke with “a severe and sharp pain” in his belly and was brought to the hospital.
Derek then underwent “immediate” emergency surgery to have his appendix removed.
Derek’s fiancée, professional dancer Hayley Erbert, was by his side the entire time, and he even managed to dance with her in the hospital!
Hayley is a huge fan of her spouse and has been together since 2015. In a tongue-in-cheek Instagram post, the DWTS judge recently talked out about marriage.
The former World of Dance star captured a bodily injury for his Instagram followers to see in a video posted on July 26.
Derek is shown in the video holding a bloodied tissue to his right brow, suggesting the location of the incident. Though getting harmed is common in his line of work, he later confessed that his injuries were caused by his two-year-old dog Luna.
