According to the sheriff’s office, a 2022 Harley Davidson driven by a 44-year-old male was heading northeast on Palestine Hollansburg Road when it drove off the road and into a ditch.

The driver and his 44-year-old passenger were thrown off the motorbike.

According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, the collision, which only involved the motorbike, was reported at 7:11 pm in the 9300 block of Jamison Road in Wayne Twp.

According to deputies, an early investigation revealed that a 2008 Yamaha motorbike was driving westbound on Jamison Road when it lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road into a ditch, tossing the driver off it.

The biker, according to Whittaker, was not wearing a helmet. He advised motorcycle riders to be cautious, slow down, and use property safety gear. In addition, he cautioned other motorists to watch out for motorcycles.

Whittaker claims that when Police arrived at the scene, they found a motorcycle in a field with a single driver pronounced dead. An adult guy was recognized as the driver.

The deputies said the collision was not caused by speed or alcohol. The Darke County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the collision.

Darke County Motorcycle Accident: One Person Killed

A motorbike collision in Darke County on Tuesday evening killed one person.

According to deputies, A  motorbike was driving westbound on Jamison Road when it failed to manage a tiny curve on the road and a hat slightly to the side into a ditch, tossing the operator off it.

Whittaker stated that the motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet. He recommended riders to slow down, use their safety gear, and be cautious. He also warned other drivers to keep an eye out for motorcycles.

Both were treated at the scene and flown to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight. Their current circumstances are unclear. The Darke County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the collision.

Motorcycle Accident In Drake County

Two CareFlighted patients were injured in a motorbike accident caused by a blown tire.

At approximately 7:20 pm. Saturday, North Star Fire Department and Ansonia Rescue, with mutual aid from Osgood Fire and Rescue Department.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Department and CareFlight deputies were dispatched to U.S. 127, just south of State Route 705, in response to a motorcycle accident with injuries.

When responders arrived, they discovered the male operator and his female passenger in a ditch alongside the road.

A preliminary investigation found that Greg A. Byrd, 46, of Greenville, was driving a red 2007 Harley Davidson north on U.S. 127 when the back tire exploded, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Byrd and her companion, Melissa L. Brenneman, were both ejected. Ansonia and Osgood Rescue treated them at the spot before transporting them to Miami Valley Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Both patients were in stable condition, aware, and conversing when they boarded the aircraft, according to officials on the site.
