Axell Hodges, better known as Slay, was a motocross and X-Games competitor from the United States. He gained notoriety after winning the C Class Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Championship 2012.

At the X Games Minneapolis in 2018, he also participated in the Moto X Quarterpipe High Air and won gold, while Hodges took home bronze.

Axell Hodges, a well-known freestyle motocross competitor, crashed during a practice jump of the longest motorcycle jump in history.

This prompted Nitro Circus to announce a revised format for the live television event Evel Live 2.

Hodges recently attempted to leap farther than anyone has ever done on a motorcycle. This distance was set in 2011 by Robbie Maddison at 378 feet and 9 inches, and they seriously hurt both ankles before the live show.

The recent accident at an X Games freestyle motocross circuit in Ramona has been linked to the untimely death of Axell Hodges.

He crashed his motorcycle while completing a jump on the park ramps at the Ramona freestyle motocross course.

During a practice jump, Hodges’ crash landing severely wounded both ankles.

Despite avoiding more severe harm, the accident prevents the daredevil from competing on Sunday, when he had intended to surpass Robbie Maddison’s 2011 record for the longest distance jumped.

Axell Hodges, a motocross competitor, perished in a recent dirt bike accident.

Around 2:45 pm, calls about an accident were received close to State Route 78 and Sutherland Dam Road in the Ramona neighborhood of San Diego County.

After receiving the phone, Cal Fire Captain Brent Pascua immediately began instructing the caller on how to perform CPR on the injured man.

Authorities discovered a man who needed life-saving care at the accident scene but was tragically declared dead there.

According to reports, the man attempted to jump off a ramp on his motorcycle just before the fatal collision.

The world was startled when Hodges’ identity was revealed as the victim. He was then operating a green motocross bike.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department will investigate the crash and accompanying death because it happened on private land.

As part of “Evel Live 2,” which was live-broadcast on History on Sunday, July 7, freestyle motocross competitor Axell Hodges was scheduled to attempt to break the record for the longest motorbike leap in history.

Sadly, Hodges will no longer be able to attempt the world record jump after suffering an injury in a practice crash just a few days before the live television event.

When he passed away, Axell Hodges was 29 years old. His adored parents welcomed him in Encinitas, California, on August 20, 1996.

Hodges watched his father and two elder siblings race dirt bikes as a child. Therefore, it can be claimed that Axell was motivated by them to enter this industry.

Hodges was a massive fan of motocross champion Jeremy McGrath in his early years. Hodges started riding at the age of eight, and in 2012, after winning the national amateur event, his career took off.

Axell “Slay” Hodges is a multidimensional athlete who won a gold medal in motocross at the X Games. He has a social media following and is well-known for his distinctive motorcycle films.
