Bethany Funke Parents And Family Ethnicity: Idaho Survivor Siblings

Bethany Funke parents are the unsung heroes of her life, raising her to be the person she is today. Despite their anonymity, they have played a significant role in shaping Bethany into the intelligent and courageous woman she is.

When four University of Idaho students were killed in November, Bethany Funke was one of two housemates in an off-campus residence.

She has requested a judge to reject a subpoena from the defense, which would require her to attend an upcoming hearing for murder suspect Bryan Kohberger.

Funke filed her request to quash the subpoena in a district court in Washoe County, Nevada, where she is from.

According to her motion, the subpoena would demand her presence in Latah County, Idaho, in late June and potentially throughout Kohberger’s trial.

Kohberger, charged with four counts of first-degree murder and burglary, was arrested in Pennsylvania on December 30, weeks after the murders.

A defense investigator working on the trial of quadruple murder suspect Bryan Kohberger claims that Funke has exculpatory evidence necessary for the defense.

Her attorney is fighting to “quash” the foreign subpoena issued to her to appear as a material witness in the case.

The defense team aims to challenge the probable cause used to justify Kohberger’s arrest at his scheduled preliminary hearing in June and believes Funke has unique information that another witness cannot provide.

Funke’s attorney is arguing that a judge must hold a hearing before she can be required to testify.

As one of the survivors of the horrible attack, she has been summoned to testify in Kohberger’s defense.

However, her lawyers are fighting the subpoena, arguing that the court lacks the authority to summon her and that she has not been named a material witness.

The hearing is set to take place in Moscow, Idaho, near the site of the slayings on November 13.

Despite the attention surrounding her role in the case, little is known about Funke’s family background, which may have been an influential factor in her life.

Although the details of Funke’s testimony remain undisclosed, she has filed a motion to quash the subpoena and asserted that the statements made by Bitonti lack support and detail about the substance of her testimony.

The case is ongoing, and further details remain unavailable due to a gag order issued by the court.
