Beau Mann Disappearance
Beau Mann, the founder of the social community app Sober Grid, went missing on November 30, 2021, after leaving a 7-Eleven convenience store in Studio City, California.
The 39-year-old was captured on surveillance footage leaving the store with a drink and a storage bag before allegedly getting into an Uber.
A text was sent through the Uber app to 911, but Mann’s phone went off shortly after. He has not been heard from since.
Mann had recently spent Thanksgiving with his family in Texas and had returned to Los Angeles, where he lived in an apartment.
He was in a long-distance relationship with Jason Abate and had plans to get married in June 2021.
After not hearing from him, family members and colleagues requested a welfare check at his apartment, but he was not there. His assistant filed a missing persons report with the LAPD on December 4, 2021.

Beau Mann was found deceased on April 25, 2023, after being missing for almost two years.
The Los Angeles Police Department received a 911 text from Mann’s phone on the day of his disappearance.
The Uber driver stated that Mann was dropped off at his apartment, but there were no signs of him on surveillance cameras or any evidence that he ever reached his apartment.
Uber app records indicated that Mann was dropped off on Berkeley Street, Santa Monica, at 2:35 pm. There has been no activity on Mann’s phone or social media since he went missing.
His vehicle was found parked in the garage of his residence. Mann’s mother stated that he was recently acquainted with a man named Blake Brown, whom he met online and worked with.
Mann reportedly texted Brown to meet up upon returning from Texas, but he was in Las Vegas then. No further information about Beau Mann’s death has been released.
Beau Mann Appearance and Physical Features
Beau Mann was a Caucasian male with brown hair and blue eyes, 5’9″ tall, and weighing 220 pounds.
His abdomen had a distinctive surgery scar from his belly button to his groin area.
When he was last seen on November 30, 2021, Beau wore an XL coat or jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt over a blue t-shirt, blue pants, and black tennis shoes.
He carried a dark-colored backpack that contained two laptops, an iPad and an iPhone. He also wore a blue baseball cap and a bandana as a face mask.
