On September 10, 1972, while performing in Lake Tahoe, she fell 22 feet (6.7 meters) from an elevated platform to the stage, breaking her left arm, cheekbone, and jawbone.
After needing precise facial reconstructive surgery, she had to have her lips wired shut and be on a liquid diet. She missed ten weeks of work before nearly fully recovering and returning to the stage.
She acknowledged having blood all over her and was immediately taken to the hospital. They had to film her with her arm tucked under a desk to avoid having the stitches visible on camera.
Despite seeming like a horrible experience, Ann claimed she still enjoyed making the movie.
Star Ann-Margret contributed to several classic musicals in the past. She is most recognized for her Viva Las Vegas, Tommy, and Bye Bye Birdie roles.

Sunday, shortly before her performance at a Lake Tahoe casino, Ann-Margret fell from a 22-foot-high platform, breaking her arm, breaking her jaw, and suffering many facial fractures.
According to an earlier story, the Actress’s kneecap was damaged in the fall, perhaps jeopardizing her dancing career. However, hospital staff reported today that her knee was unharmed.
