She described how she started singing in bars as a young adult, which caused her cherished late grandfather to grab her by the arm.
He then asked, “What are you doing, baby? What you should be doing is not what you are doing. “How can you sing for God and sing for this?” Danielle’s late grandfather prodded her to ponder.
Danielle explained to the panel of judges how her discussion with her late grandfather inspired her to pursue a career in Christian music.
Her revered musical influence, “American Idol” alumna Lauren Daigle, whose song “You Say” she sang, was introduced to the crowd by host Ryan Seacrest.

After singing “Head Over Feet” by singer-songwriter Alanis Morrisette, an honorary guest judge, the 20-year-old Georgia native advanced to the final three on Sunday night.

Megan said, “When I was 18, I had a band, and we performed in bars and settings.”
She also added she didn’t enjoy much while performing in the bars, and the settings didn’t allure her.
“I decided to switch to Christian music completely after my grandfather asked me how to sing for God.” She continued her story.
She continued her singing career after turning herself entirely to the Christian faith.
