Serena Williams launch Fall 2019 S by collection at New York Fashion Week

Serena Williams faced a shocking loss in the U.S. Open final against Bianca Andreescu. The Canadian player Bianca earned a title Grand Slam because of her victory over Williams. Whether Serena wins or loses, she doesn’t take any day off from her work. Just after three day of her loss, Williams presented her Fall 2019 S by Serena Williams collection at New York Fashion Week along with Klarna Style 360.

For the show, the two years old Olympia Ohanian wore a tee with the show’s logo ‘S.’ The mother-daughter stole the show as they were so adorable on the runway that the audience couldn’t take their eyes of them. The logo was the alphabet ‘S’ because all great words Sophisticated, Style and Sexy comes with S.

The see-now-buy-now collection was based on Serena’s own style. On the backstage, she said,

“We want women to turn their fear and doubts into confidence and courage. It’s our logo and motto for the whole collection.”

The collection represented the 90s street style with a touch of animal prints, sequins, and pops of neon colors. Some of the designs included a sequined suit, an asymmetrical black gown and a lime duster over a leopard print dress.

Being a mother, Williams’ keeps mum on the specifics of her show. The apparels size is limited to 3x. In fact, she believes that – Not all women look alike. They don’t have the same body type or body shape. So we make things for all different women, and we call our 3x great. It’s not plus, it’s great.

The apparels are budget-friendly and price point from $59 to $229. She smartly chose Anna Wintour to get some advice about the clothing. She said that I’m not going to show at New York Fashion Week without sending her every single piece. She’s important to us and for our brand. Also, she gives us so much good feedback.

Talking about companionship, Anna is not the only one. Meghan Markle attended the show to cheer on her best pal. Meghan came all across from the U.K to New York City to be with Serena. The tennis player shared,

Meghan is just amazing. She threw herself across the seas only to support a few hours with a newborn baby. She’s the most positive, amazing human, I know.
