Recently, Rodriguez underwent an incredible weight loss and gain journey for her role in the movie “Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.”

 Over three months, she gained up to 20 pounds of muscle thanks to a dedicated training program and a carefully designed diet plan by her trainer.

Her personal trainer and nutritionist, Magnus Lygdbäck, played a vital role in helping her achieve these remarkable results.

Rodriguez’s training routine consisted primarily of heavy weight lifting, which allowed her to maximize muscle growth and strength development.

As a newcomer to strength training, she experienced what is commonly called “newbie gains.”

This phenomenon enabled her to build muscle, increase strength, and lose fat rapidly.

Lygdbäck ensured that Rodriguez incorporated progressive overload into her workouts, constantly increasing the weight or reps to stimulate continuous muscle growth and development.

The actress trained five days a week for approximately an hour each session, with a three-day split routine. 

Additionally, core exercises and mobility work were included, along with a cardio warm-up.

Working closely with her trainer, Rodriguez dedicated herself to an intense regimen before heading to Belfast, Northern Ireland, for filming.

Her hard work paid off as she packed on muscle without gaining fat, resulting in a lean and muscular physique.

After the training phase, Rodriguez entered a calorie deficit to achieve a more defined look. Even today, Michelle looks incredibly fine.

Regarding nutrition, Rodriguez followed a high-protein diet and consumed five meals daily.

She ate a slight calorie surplus to support her muscle growth, giving her the necessary energy to train intensely and lift heavy weights.

Protein intake was a priority, aiming for approximately one gram of protein per pound of body weight.

Rodriguez maintained stable blood sugar levels by starting her day with a high-protein breakfast.

Snacks and meals throughout the day included additional protein sources, complex carbs like farro or barley, healthy fats from nuts or avocado, and vegetables.

After completing the three months of intense training, Rodriguez transitioned to a calorie deficit for a few weeks to shed fat and achieve a lean physique.

Lygdbäck followed the “17/20” principle, where most meals (17 out of 20) focused on nutritious choices while allowing flexibility for the remaining three meals.
