Her ancestors were Ashkenazi Jews from Germany and Eastern Europe, leaving the chef surprised that she did not have Sephardi ancestors.

Coenraad Sammes (later Coleman Joseph) was her maternal great-great-great grandfather. He flew to England from Amsterdam in 1830 to avoid serving a prison term after being found guilty of stealing.

Furthermore, he was a prominent advocate for tax cuts during his tenure as chancellor.

Nigel retired from politics in 1992 and later joined the House of Lords, and recently played a notable role in leading the Vote Leave Campaign in the Brexit referendum before retiring from politics altogether in December.

The English food writer and television cook have now addressed her father’s passing after maintaining silence since his death.

Earlier today, the TV chef who is 63 years old, expressed her appreciation to her Twitter followers for their supportive messages.

Both her mother and sister passed away at the young ages of 48 and 32 respectively, and her friend John passed away at 47.

Considering these losses, even if the chef were someone who made long-term plans, she doesn’t think she would have imagined herself being alive.

It’s worth mentioning that the chef’s sister Thomasina died from breast cancer in 1993.

Talking about the Nigella Lawson family and married life, she has married twice and does have children.

She first married John Diamond, who is a Journalist. They met in 1986, as both were writing for the UK’s Sunday Times.

After falling in love, the couple got married in 1992 in Venice and welcomed their children, Cosima and Bruno.

Sadly, John received his throat Cancer diagnosis in 1997 and passed away in March 2001 at the age of 47.

Later, in September 2003, she tied the knot with art collector Charles Saatchi. The tumultuous 10-year marriage garnered significant media coverage.

Then Nigella filed for divorce, blaming her husband’s continued unreasonable behavior. The couple received a decree nisi in July, seven weeks after the incident, essentially ending their marriage.

The celebrity chef is the mother of two children named Cosima and Bruno. There isn’t much information provided about them.
