Patrick Alford inexplicably vanished from his Starrett City foster home thirteen years ago, but his family and the NYPD still hope they will discover the missing teen.

On January 22, 2010, seven-year-old Alford was last seen in the lobby of 130 Vandalia Avenue.

He disappeared around 9:00 pm Librada Moran, his foster mother, was dumping rubbish into an incineration chute. The little child had vanished when she turned around.

According to reports, he stayed home in Starrett City for three weeks after his birth mother, Jennifer Rodriguez, was detained on suspicion of theft and confessed to using drugs.

Patrick Alford, her 7-year-old son with ADHD, was placed in foster care. In Brooklyn, New York, at 130 Vandalia Avenue, Patrick moved in with Librada Moran.

The Charley Project claims that at about nine o’clock on January 22, 2010, Librada and Patrick removed the rubbish.

According to her, Patrick disappeared from the apartment’s corridor in the Spring Creek Tower. Authorities started a thorough investigation to find Patrick.

Alford was raised in Staten Island but was given up into foster care after his mother was detained. Alford was last seen sporting a red t-shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers when he vanished.

Is Patrick Alford Found After Disappearance?

Patrick Alford’s whereabouts and the circumstances of his disappearance are still unknown. His disappearance is considered dangerous, and his case is still open.

Even though Patrick’s body was never located, a bodega clerk was found guilty 2017 of kidnapping and murdering him.

According to reports, he told his foster mother that he intended to go to find his birth mother.

Before the trail disappeared, K-9 units tracked Patrick’s smell to the Pennsylvania and Shroeder Avenues intersection. Authorities looked in the Fresh Creek Basin’s waters and the nearby Spring Creek Park for signs of him, but they turned up nothing.

The initial investigation led investigators to believe Patrick’s biological mother was responsible for his disappearance. One week after he vanished, she was arrested and held there until she passed a lie-detector test and was freed a few days later.

Patrick’s biological mother filed a federal negligence lawsuit against the city, Patrick’s foster mother, and the foster care organization in Brooklyn federal court nine months after he vanished.

Following a protracted legal dispute, the city paid Patrick $6 million in 2018. Patrick will profit from the funds if and when he returns, and a corporate trustee is now keeping them.

According to authorities, Patrick’s case is still under investigation, and police are asking for the public’s assistance. Crime Stoppers is offering a $13,000 prize to anyone with information about his disappearance.

Jennifer Rodriguez has covertly added a wrongful death claim to her case against the city, St. Vincent’s Services foster care organization, and her son’s foster mother.

Patrick Alford Jr. was seven years old when he mysteriously disappeared from an apartment building in East New York, Brooklyn, on January 22, 2010, after carrying out the trash for his foster mother, Librada Moran, who was caring for the child while his mother fought a theft arrest.

The date of Patrick Alford’s birth is November 28, 2002. Patrick and his younger sister were residing in a foster home at Spring Creek Towers, previously Starrett City, on 130 Vandalia Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, at the time of his abduction.

Three weeks before Patrick vanished in late 2009, their biological mother was arrested for theft, and the children were taken from her Staten Island home.

Patrick’s biological father was living separately on Staten Island at the time of his disappearance.

Patrick’s father was shot in the head during a heist in East New York two years after he went missing, leaving him severely crippled. In 2014, he was living in a Bronx nursing home.
